uhhh that does look good .... so is it like just normal canned veggie soup topped off with dumplings or something? Ye starving teacher with two cases of veggie soup needs a new way of eating it over here :-)

Oh, the things kids will eat.....

Mom's Dumplings

1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
salt/pepper
1 can vegetable soup (HOT)

Beat egg, add milk, salt/pepper. Beat well with FORK, add flour. You may need extra flour - add till dough is very thick and not wet.

Dip spoons in hot soup, then add by spoonful to soup while boiling.

COVER (do not lift cover)

Simmer for 15 min.

ENJOY!

And now the recipe will live on forever in the depths of the Internet.

I'll have to compare that to MY Mum's recipe !! She always did Chicken Stew & Dumplings for us...a family fav!!!!!

Now what I want to know about is...did you get the washer & dryer yet???

I got the washer over a month ago but the dryer has only just arrived in whitehorse now! Sears isn't so reliable as it turns out!! Heck they even tried to over charge me by $126. !! Good thing I was on the ball that day!

I get the dryer TOMORROW :):):)

Guess what Heather! I had the opposite problem. I got the dryer and not the washer. Blah. Hopefully it will be in when we are in town for the craft show. And husbands just don't get excited women get over new appliances. He won't hook up my new dryer for me until we get the washer!!!!! ARGGGG!! I so wish I could haul it upstairs and do it myself. Are you in love with your new washer??

All I can say is that was yummy!!! Although I did fark up right away - wound up having to double the dumpling recipe as I wasn't paying attention to what measuring cup I was using until after I had dumped the milk in with the egg. Oh well - just means tasty veggie soup soaked dumplings for lunch tomorrow! This is so how I am making veggie soup from now on!
