StFX Alumni Event!

Seems wherever we go across the north, we are able to find people who graduated from the same University as Matt. They are easy to spot- just look for the X-ring!

Matt graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2001 with his BSc. in Nursing. Wow. I just realized it was almost 10 years ago he graduated.

Last month we got a phone call from another graduate of StFX who wanted to put together an alumni gathering in Whitehorse. Matt was so excited about it all and it actually worked out that we can attend! It took a lot of begging and promising favours though. Matt was the only nurse in town for tomorrow, so a casual has been brought in to replace him. The kids aren't coming with us and will be taken care of by three different people people! Thank you to our wonderful neighbours, Dave and Diana, across the street who are taking them early tomorrow morning, to Heather who will have them all day and then to Erica who will take them home, feed them and put them to bed.

I wish we could spend the night in Whitehorse, but instead we will be driving right back home again because I want to attend a craft fair in Ross River that is starting at 10am on Saturday. So we will be doing a 800km round trip to do some shopping and partying! Completely worth it.

Tomorrow is also Matt's birthday! It will have also been 10 years to the date that he received his X-ring. Looks like tomorrow is going to be one heck of a fantastic day!

Have a great time!!!! I hadn't heard of StFX until we moved up north, and now have meet a ton of people from there - it would be interesting to see how many people from the north are from there:)

Awesome. I'm so jealous you have neighbours like that. I'm soo moving there. I need to go call NWC Head office right now and tell them that they need a Northern Store in Faro.

that sounds totally fun! I love road trips. It reminds me of when we lived in Fort St John and would drive the 2 hours into Grande Prairie for dinner on a Friday night.

Have a blast!
