Or just like to sew with beautiful, nifty fabrics?
Then please check out this online fabric store my friend, Jill, is running. She is located in northern BC and trust me, you won't find deals like this within 2000km.
Her prices are extremely reasonable and she will have your order ready for shipping lickety-split!
Please check out her website- FishSkinFabrics- and see for yourself.
Support an amazing northern entrepreneur!

I'm so glad you posted this link again. I was thinking a while back that I remembered you had a friend who sells fabric and had been meaning to ask you. :)
Thanks for the link! I don't live up there anymore, but my mom is always complaining about the lack of fabric stores in Dawson. I will pass this on to her. (Perhaps you remember her, Margaret the Guider/sheepherdess?)
Yes, I have been a lurker for a while now, and I love hearing about the North from your blog!
Does she ship internationally? :)
JENNIFER SMITH!!! Oh my gosh! You must absolutely write me an email and tell me everything you have been up to!!! kara underscore went at hotmail dot com
Tammy- I bet she would! I have discovered that shipping internationally is cheaper than shipping within Canada. $18 to ship a pair of mittens to Ontario and it was only $14 to send to Sweden. How crazy ass is that?
HEY! Thanks for the shout out again! You're a rock star! I really am working on the fleece, I swear!
Yes, I ship internationally, and anywhere in Canada AND I have a shipping maximum of $10 per parcel for Canadian shipments :)
The international thing is because they have this amazing thing called "Small Packet International (or USA)" which Canadian shipments don't have - everything we ship is a "parcel" I'm learning A LOT of things fit in an envelope, and those Express Post pre-paid envelopes, as long as you can close it, you can ship it ;)
