These are the two awesome seal pelts I picked up in Whitehorse last weekend. I already have my first order for a pair of mittens with them. I am hoping to get two big pairs out of each pelt, and perhaps have leftovers to make some kid size ones later.
Freak is absolutely enamoured with them as well. I have to hide them in a rubbermaid otherwise she is making sweet kitty love to them.

owwwwww, ring seals, sweet. where did you buy them?
At a tannery in WH. I am pretty sure he didn't do them though, just brought them in to sell.
If you find human teeth marks in one of them, those would be from when I was catching it. The thing turned back on me and I had to sink my chompers into it to prevent it from lashing out.
Ahhhh I was wondering what those extra holes in the pelts were Darcy!!
OK I hear you, Norman is obsessed with my amauti and Tallinn tries to lick my Kammiks when I'm wearing them. Freakin' pets! lol
Forget the pets' reactions....Ezra (who is now crawling-look out!!) chases me around the house so that he can lick the beaver trim on my slippers! I made his with rabbit-apparently not as tasty!
Sweet!!!!! I love it!! Can I give you some extra $ to re-do mine of of that??? :)
enamoured - nice word!!!
We can't leave our gloves laying around of the cats get at them.
Always a source of entertainment.
nice! i had to keep Roxy away from the caribou skin that is drying on the deck.
ohh and Roxy loves my seal mitts
Oh no! The poor seals! As an anti-seal hung activist I strongly believe that blah blah blah blah....
Oh who am I kidding? That's the closest I can come to an anti-seal hunt rant.
:)
Oh dear...I meant "anti-seal hunt activist"......not anti-seal hung activist"......oops!
ahahaha I hadn't even noticed that error Darcy!!!
