Seal Mittens

This mitten making wonder woman is at it again!! So far this month I have made nine pairs of mittens and they are looking amazing. This last pair was made from a gorgeous coat that I almost hated to cut up! It is Alaskan fur seal that has been sheared and dyed black. It is so soft and warm! Even as I was sewing them together my hands were getting hot and that was before I put a nice fleecy liner in them. The lucky owner of these mittens lives right here in Faro and seems very happy with her purchase.

Sadly, I am out of hide until I get to town next week to purchase more. This weekend I hope to start on a pair of wrap mukluks for another Faroite. He has given me an old one to take apart and use for a pattern. I sure hope I can make it!
